Recently, the Luban Award, the highest quality award for construction projects in China and known as the “Oscar” in the construction industry, was officially announced. Among the 120 projects selected for the first batch of Luban Awards in 2018~2019, more than half of the projects undertaken by the central enterprises were built or participated in, and 54 of them were included in the super projects.



According to statistics, among the 54 super projects, China Railway has undertaken or participated in the construction of nine super projects, ranking second in terms of participation, followed by China Railway Construction, and built or participated in seven projects.



It is worth mentioning that the “Luban Award” super-engineering unit was selected among the top 10, and the China Railway Fourth Bureau was listed in the number of three times. The number of selected members ranked third, becoming China Railway and China Railway Construction. The only secondary central enterprise unit selected by the system.



For construction companies, the Luban Award not only represents the supreme honor, but also the proof of strength, and is the most convincing business card that the company presents to the industry and society. In the list of Luban Awards announced this time, Shenzhen Metro Line 11 constructed by China Railway Fourth Bureau, Chongqing Metro Line 10 (Jianxin East Road to Wangjiazhuang Section) and Anhui Liu (An) Qianshan (Mountain) Expressway, etc. The three projects are on the list. So far, the China Railway Fourth Bureau has won 27 Luban Awards, and the number of awards is among the highest in the industry.

Shenzhen Metro Line 11

The Shenzhen Metro Line 11 is a 51.936-kilometer-long Shenzhen Metro Line No. 11 with a design speed of 120 km. It is the fastest speed group in the country. △Liuqian Expressway is the key project of the “10th Five-Year Plan” and “861” Action Plan of Anhui Province. It started in Lu'an City and finally buried in Dashan City. It is the first expressway across the Dabie Mountains in Anhui Province. 150.13 kilometers, with a total investment of 9.2 billion yuan, officially started construction on June 29, 2005, and was completed and opened to traffic on December 28, 2009. Designed for full closure, full interchange, full control access, two-way four lanes, designed driving speed of 80 to 100 kilometers per hour. The construction of the road is of great significance. After the completion of the project, the “Western Vertical” of Anhui Province will be completed and will form the main skeleton of the expressway in the western Yunnan and central Guizhou.

Founded in 1987, China Construction Engineering Luban Award is the highest honor for engineering quality in China's construction industry. It is known as the “Oscar” of Chinese architecture. The Luban Prize is awarded once a year (starting from 2010-2011, once a year, once a year), and is awarded to a company that has created a first-class project. The "Luban Award" has strict selection methods and reporting and review procedures, and has strict evaluation discipline. The judging is under the responsibility of the jury. The judges are composed of relevant departments of the State Council and experts from various regions, and are selected by secret ballot.


After the announcement of the "Luban Award", the Ministry of Construction and the China Construction Industry Association will award the "Luban Award" gold image and honorary certificate to the winners, and award the certificate to the main participating units.
